Pop already!

My Dearest Sister , if we are starring at you , asking how you are doing every other second, or asking if your having a contraction, I apologize for all of us. I know we are looking at you like your going to pop at any moment. But thats just how it is when one is 9 months pregnant and due any day.

This little guy has surprised us already . My sister usually has her little ones 1 or 2 weeks early. And now she is 2 DAYS away from her due date. And he is still in there nice and comfortable it seems.

I call him our "no name", it's still a mystery to us all. Our little "no name" is his own little person in there. Waiting to show us all.

Your mommy has waited for you for a long time. We can't wait to hold you little "no name". Come out and play!!!

Here without him . . .

The words " here without him" sounds so odd. I have never been "without him". And now I find myself with my son in the states "without him". Him being my husband Javier who is in Honduras. Everything reminds me of him and our life before.Number one being our son, who looks and acts just like him. I am staying with my parents who now live in "our" old house. Blockbuster. Paint vans. White four runners. Sub station. Choc. covered strawberries. certain smells. The list goes on. My heart jumps when I see these things. But I know this is just a time in our life. I love my husband deeply and I will follow him anywhere. This time in our life is making us stronger and our love even deeper.Babe, this is hard but I am committed! Te Amo

It´s been a while

Many weeks have past ! many sunsets! many rainy days !

Alot has happend since I last blogged! Our son Elijah was very sick with the water bug!I was very close to taking him back to the states. maybe when I have time I will write more about that ! Its a very long story! Some days pass quickly some days pass slowly! But no matter how fast or slow my days go there always is an end. I still awake to our two roosters and our many hens! How I miss Beaufort. The silence of the water, the wind in my hair, the sounds of birds in my ear! All the things I took for granted everyday. The sounds of Honduras are so different! In one word .Loud. I am not sure I like it. I have recognized I am more like my mother and sister in that area! Elijah also longs for a time of quiet. He will be crying, not happy, not fun. I will take him in our room with toys, and he is a different boy!

Javier, Elijah and I travel this thursday to the city of Tegucigalpa for our appointment at the embassy on the 27th! I am anxious, nervous, excited and feeling many more emotions. Please pray for our travel and time there.

I miss you family! can´t wait to put my arms around you all!

Sisters

Javier has two sisters. Yosselin who is 17 and sulmi who is 12. Boy are they sisters. They remind me of my sister and me growing up. Mikal´side of the room was always clean . Yosselins side of the room is always clean. sulmis side always a mess. As well as mine (was). I walked into there room the other day and all of sulmis clothes were piled on her bed. I felt my necklace and quickly thought of my sister. Memories came back like it was yesterday. I remember sleeping at night and my sister throwing all my clothes that were on the floor onto my bed, which I was sleepning in at the moment. I would jump out of bed as mad as a boiling pot, swing my arms down the steps into my parents room. MOM, DAD, do you know what mikal is doing ? lol. I look back now and think its funny! I have always wanted a little bit of mikals order in my life and I think she is coming around to wanting a little bit of me in her life. I think with this 4th stinky on the way, she just might! And with me living in Honduras, I have nothing to do but clean. I love mikal!

Now for my other (sister) who married into our crazy family! The relationship between me and Yosselin is sweet. It reminds me of the realtionship i have with my sister in law amy. If I had two words to describe amy it would be encouraging and giving . She had encouraged me to be the same to my sister in laws. Amy you have set a great example in the words that you have spoken over the years!I want to be the same for my sister in laws! We were going to a party this past week. she wore one of my dresses. As she was picking through them, I quickly thought of you amy ! Thank you for being so giving! I love you!

Sulmi is 12 and my big helper! she loves holding Elijah all the time, and helping me with anything I need. She is sweet and very funny all the time. I think back when I was that age. She is molding into the woman that she will be!

I love all the sisters in my life. That are by blood and by marriage. I will forever be your sister ! much love from honduras!

Christmas and the Rain!

The night before christmas it rained all night. I love the sound of rain at night while I am sleeping! It´s the same soothing feeling as being rocked in a rocking chair as a baby ! So the 24th we awoke to water everywhere and it still raining. What a lazy day it was. Our men of the household went to work, while the woman of the house hung out at the house,Waiting to here from my family. We had cooked tamales the day before, so it was a pretty easy day, as far as food goes. Later that night we went to Javiers uncles house. We are good friends with them. They got the fire crackers out and acted like they were 10 again! Elijah was amazed. The fire crackers continued all night! Elijah slept with us, it was quit loud. The next day I carried my phone around all day, waiting to hear from my family again! It felt more like christmas, we awoke and all went to a soccer game jav, erlin and his dad were playing in. Then we went visiting. We visited a house with a chritmas tree, it made my heart sing. Most don´t believe in christmas, so there are no lights or trees decorated .Today was the first day since christmas that is has not rained. Scrub clothes, hang to dry, leave the house ,come home clothes soaked again from the rain! NOT FUN! It´s like you have to wash them again cause they sit for so long. My mind thinks in spanish, i dream in spanish. First thing that comes out of my mouth is spanish! I have to repeat things in english to elijah.

Elijah is growing to be a stinky!! lots of energy! he wants everything we eat too!

love to all my family!

It takes a village!

The saying it takes a village to raise your children is very true here. Everything we do is by hand, freshly grown, freshly picked, and freshly cooked! Our laundry is washed by hand and hung to dry. Between crying baby, stinky baby, hungry baby, just want to be held baby. It truly takes a village. Thats one thing about the spanish culture I am understanding more is why they are so family oriented. Most kids don´t there own bed to sleep in so the children sleep in there parents bed. Elijah has been in ours. Our box with his bed comes hopefully today. And also everyone has to take care of the baby to survive. Much love to my family. I need to go makes tortillas for lunch! adios

My Day

Today we awoke to our rooster! Yes we have a rooster who is very loud through out the night. We can´t wait to eat him, not just for the taste! We have 10 chicks and 6 other hens! They all run around freely. Two went outside the gate today, yes I had to chase after them. I washed our laundry today on our ¨pila¨. It was fun to me actually! Family and friends came to visit. oh, stinky woke up , will post more later.
